I located a source for some possible formulas of Green Bay’s favorite chili. Notice all the oil. The Chili Johns frozen product contains ‘beef tallow’ – perhaps that’s just a cheaper substitute than the real butter used below. Note: Unverified as of yet.
2 lbs hamburger
1/3 cup chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
1 stick plus 2 tbsp margarine
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp red pepper
1 tsp salt
Brown hamburger, add rest of ingredients, simmer 30 minutes.
Add beans at end if desired. Note: Cheaper hamburger works best.
